KARACHI - TheNation Editor-in-Chief Majid Nizami has said his brother late Hameed Nizami waged a war against oppressive rulers throughout his life, setting an example in the history that would be remembered by future historians.

“The daily Nawa-i-Waqt has been upholding late Hameed Nizami’s principles and the group will continue with it,” Majid Nizami said in his message read by Nawa-i-Waqt Karachi Resident Editor Saeed Khawar at the award distribution among outstanding students arranged by the Farzandan-i-Pakistan.

“My brother was among the people who participated in the struggle for the creation of Pakistan under Father of Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah,” he said.

“Hameed Nizami’s life reflected Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s principles. He fought for the truth, upheld the prestige of pen without any individual or group discrimination and never bowed to government pressure. By the grace of Allah Almighty, he was not shattered and stood firm though he faced numerous hardships on the way.”

Majid Nizami expressed his resolve to continue the mission of his brother, saying: “We will continue to expose the robbers guised as leaders.”
