ISLAMABAD  – Executive Director Pakistan Institute of Medical Science (PIMS), Prof Dr Riaz Ahmad Warraich, has said that hospital administration was striving hard to upgrade service structure and establish residential colonies for the its sanitary workers.

Addressing a gathering held to express solidarity with Christian community, Dr Riaz said that the PIMS administration has been working on the service structure of sanitary workers and its other employees serving in different departments. Deputy Executive Director PIMS Syed Hashim Raza, Incharge Housekeeping Dr Maqsood Ahmad, Shahid Khattak and many other officials addressed the party. Dr Raiz said that free ambulance service would be provided to staff members and their families in case of death or any emergency.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) President Prof Dr Sabt-ul-Hassnain has decreased the security fee for contesting council election from Rs 100,000 to Rs 50,000. Dr Sabt-ul-Hassnain directed officials to refund Rs50,000 to the candidates who have submitted Rs100,000 as security fee. On the demand of the Pakistan Medical Association, PMDC president reduced security fee for contesting council election.
