QUETTA - Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi on Friday summoned the Balochistan Assembly session on Dec 31st. According to sources, during the session new Speaker of Balochistan Assembly would be elected. It may be recalled here that lawmakers of Provincial Assembly on Dec 26th had adopted a not trust motion against Speaker Muhammad Aslam Bhootani with overwhelming majority.
Upon approval of no-trust motion, the seat of Speaker fell vacant.
Sources said that consensus had been made among lawmakers for making JUI-F leader and sitting Deputy Speaker Syed Matiulah Agha as new Speaker of the Provincial Assembly.
They said that if Syed Matiullah Agha was elected as Speaker then election of Deputy Speaker was also expected on the same day.
