PML-N asks govt to announce elections date

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) on Friday formally demanded of the PPP government to announce date for the upcoming elections (2013) to dispel misconceptions and foil conspiracies.
“The government should announce a date for the upcoming elections to foil the conspiracies of those elements who want to derail the democratic setup,” said Ahsan Iqbal, PML-N Deputy Secretary General, while addressing a press conference.
On the occasion, BA Malik, former ambassador having 40 years association with ruling party (PPP), announced to formally join PML-N by saying that the present PPP was not the party of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, but now it is ‘Zardari league’.
Ahsan Iqbal informed that Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif will share party’s manifesto for upcoming elections on January 05 (Saturday) which will be a roadmap for economy, energy and unemployment crises.

About Bliwal Bhutto maiden political speech the other day, PML-N stalwart was of the view that he had not shared ‘ future vision’ with the masses. Both Zardari and his son Bilawal avoided uttering ongoing problems include inflation, energy crisis, lawlessness etc. “The five years performance of the government was also not shared with the masses,” he added. “A person under 25 years old who even ineligible for the required age for MNA need apprenticeship but despite the fact it is prerogative of PPP to make chairman anyone,” he maintained.
PML-N legislator also expressed astonishment on PPP’s approach for blaming judiciary about failure to nab the assassins behind the Banazir Bhutto. “Investigation agencies are not under judiciary as they are under the command of government,” he added.
He said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has no ability to run government, as they only deserve role of opposition, which they are expected to be discharging after general elections. To a question, he said certain conspirators from in and outside the country want to sabotage elections.
PML-N leader came down hard on Chief Minhaj-ul-Quran Tahirul Qadri and also bracketed MQM chief for making joint venture against democracy. He commented that Tahirul Qadri holds Canadian nationality and other having British nationality have recently joined hands to bring ‘revolution’ in the country. They would not let foreign national holders to hostage the country. He also questioned billion of rupees advertisement of Tahir-ul-Qadri’s public gathering.
To a question, he warned that two things would be lethal for the country if it happened after elections including Zardari’s coming back into power and a hung parliament. He viewed that a clear mandate in favour of on party could be panacea for the woes and worries of nation.
