HAFIZABAD - Four persons including two women were killed at four different places in separate mishaps and incidents here in the district on Friday.According to police sources, Muhammad Shoaib, driver of the DPO Office was killed while Sub-Inspector Muhammad Sarwar was critically injured when their car collided head-on with a tractor-trolley coming from the opposite direction due to dense fog on Pindi Bhattian-Chiniot Road. Both the cops were on the way to Chiniot when the mishap took place. They were removed to the Allied Hospital Faisalabad where Shoaib succumbed to his injuries while Sarwar was struggling for life. In another incident, a 20-year-old married woman identified as Shubnum Rani was poisoned to death by her parents in Dhingranwali village as she had married her cousin Irfan Ahmad few months back against the wishes of her parents. After marriage Irfan proceeded to Greece and her parents took Shubnum Rani to their house. The other night they allegedly poisoned her to death and were going to bury her but on the complaint of her in-laws that they felt foul play, the police took the dead body into custody and removed it to the city morgue for autopsy. The police have registered a case. Similarly, a young married woman Rehana Bibi, wife of Ihsanullah was killed while his sister-in-law seriously injured when roof of her dilapidated ‘katcha’ house caved in here in Thatha Shamsa. They were pulled out from under the debris by the villagers and rushed to hospital where Rehana was pronounced dead while her sister-in-law was struggling for life.Meanwhile, the dead body of 25-year-old man was found in the washroom of Jamia Masjid Bilal here. The identity of the deceased could not be established yet. After getting information, City SHO Syed Arif Hussain and Saddr DSP Tariq Warraich rushed to the spot and started collecting circumstantial evidence. Meanwhile, dead body has been sent to the city morgue to ascertain the cause of his death.
