Twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi have a main road leading to the Airport on one hand and to Lahore and various other cities on the other. The traffic flow on the road has increased beyond all imagination, due to which the pedestrians on these roads face tremendous problems in crossing over to the other side safely. Although CDA has constructed many overhead bridges from Faisal Mosque to Khanna Bridge, no bridge has been constructed after the Khanna Bridge towards the airport or Kak Bridge. Many people have lost their lives while trying to cross the road. I would like to request the concerned authorities of the federal capital to build more pedestrian bridges.
