Dr Rao Muhammad Rashad Qamar, Associate Professor Quaid-e-Azam Medical College and Eye Surgeon Bahawal Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur has attained Fellowship in Vitreo Retina from UK and Germany. He is the first eye specialist in Bahawalpur region to have got this Fellowship and yet only one. The purpose behind was to cater the patients of this area who were either going blind or have to go to Karachi or Lahore for the operations of Retina ( eye ka pichla purda) and paying high cost. Now all such patients who have Retinal detachment, vitreous haemorrhage due to diabetes and other Retinal problems are effectively treated here in Bahawal Victoria hospital.
