KARACHI -In 1981, Hong Kong founded Giordano International which is now one of the world’s leading international retailers of men’s, women’s and children’s apparel and accessories. In 1981, Giordano had its single store in Hong Kong from where the brand has grown to the present network of having over 2,800 stores and counters in over 40 countries in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.

Giordano is globally successful and its success story has been featured as a case study at the Harvard Business School. Giordano branched out in Pakistan and started from Karachi; the first outlet is in Dolmen Mall Clifton. The event featured a red carpet with celebrities, a fashion show with 8 female models and 4 male models who wore Giordano’s collection. Some of the models walked the ramp along with their kids; since Giordano is a family brand so the grand finale of the event had celebrities from all walks of life were on the ramp.

The host of the event was Anoushey Ashraf, who entertained the guests for the evening. Giordano Pakistan is the first retail venture of Retail Avenue Pvt. Ltd, which is a concern of the Dolmen Group. Dolmen Group is the pioneer of the retail real estate industry and has been working in close proximity with the retail industry of Pakistan since the past 25 years. Currently, the company operates two outlets of Giordano in Karachi, located at Dolmen Mall Clifton and Dolmen Mall Hyderi. The company forecasts rapid expansion for Giordano in the future, with plans to open a number of stores nationwide, in the next two years.

Some of Giordano’s products are polo shirts which are already very popular with local consumers. Their fall/winter collection includes a large range of Polo shirts including the hot selling Lion Polo, which is available in the Men, Women and children’s range. Giordano Pakistan offers additional services to its customers such as free alteration and honours Giordano International’s Global exchange policy.

The Giordano’s launch event was organised by Production 021 while media was handled by Takell choreography  for the fashion show was  by nabeel shaukat, hair & make-up of the models were  done by Angie Marshall while celebrity makeovers was  by sabs styling of the event was handled  by Ehtesham Ansari.
