LAHORE (PR) - Mehrunissa Sajjad has been elected Secretary of the Oxford Union Society for the term beginning from January. She has been elected unopposed.
She is the first Pakistani to be elected to an office in the Oxford Union after Benazir Bhutto in 1977.
She was also elected to the Standing Committee and that too with the maximum number of votes. Mehrunissa is a distinguished speaker and has spoken in debates at the Union. She is currently in her final year of undergraduate studies for double honours in English Literature and World History.
