PESHAWAR - Squash’s emerging younger player Khushhal Riaz Khan will represent Pakistan in U-13 British Open Junior Squash Championship, which is formally commencing on January 2, 2015.
Talking to The Nation, Khushhal wished to earn name for Pakistan in squash and that is why he has been struggling hard to play excellently in the British Junior Open Squash Championship. “I will try my level best to perform well in the mega event and try to win the laurels for the country.”
Khushhal, who will leave for England in couple of days, has initially started his practice at squash academy under the supervision of Pakistan Squash Board (PSB) Director Muhibullah Khan in Qayyum Sports Complex, where squash prominent coaches - Pervez Ali, Shehzad Mohib and Adil Khan trained him properly.
So far, the younger has brilliantly performed in Chief of Air Staff Junior Squash Championship, national and regional events as well. Besides, he has also participated in U-11 junior squash championships. For the first time, Khushhal will represent the country in U-13 British Open Junior Squash Championship. He has been striving hard, and his coach Falak Niaz is too working hard with him to title his name.
Squash coach Alamzeb will be supervising him during his England tour. Khushhal, is student of Model School for Boys Warsak Road, Peshawar. Principle of his school is also encouraging him in taking part in squash so that to bring past glory of squash back in the province.
