PTI to restart sit-ins from January 17 if govt backtracks from JC constitution

ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) has evolved alternative strategy to stage dharnas and protest rallies in the event of  non constitution of Judicial Commission (JC) by the government, to probe into polls rigging.

PTI sources said that PTI will work out its schedule for staging protest rallies and dharnas in January. It will again give call to its workers for holding long march and dharnas in D chowk.

Deadlock persisted on three points in the meeting recently held between PTI and government. PTI leadership has therefore, made it clear on government that talks are not misconstrued as their weakness and they reserve the right of staging dharnas.

PTI leadership is abundantly sure that government will constitute JC and initiate probe into polls rigging. The powers to formulate JC will be conferred on Chief Justice of Pakistan through promulgation of an ordinance.
