KHYBER AEGNCY - Key commander of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was detained by the security agencies here in Wazir Dand area of tehsil Jamrud of Khyber Agency, official sources said Sunday.
They said that the forces assisted by Khasadar force raided a suspected house in Wazir Dand and arrested important commander of TTP, Mina Jan faction. The detainee was identified as Tahir and was shifted to an undisclosed destination for investigation.
Meanwhile, a huge cache of hashish was recovered during a raid conducted by the security forces here in Jaba of tehsil Jamrud, sub-division of Khyber Agency.
The sources said, the forces and Khasadar in a joint search and clearance operation recovered 235-kg hashish from Shodani Kalley. Six persons were identified as Sajid, Itbar, Niaz Wali, Aziz Khan, Saidbad Shah and Bashiruddin and sent to forces cantonment for further interrogation.
