cHAKWAL - PTI leader Dr Yasmeen Rashid on Thursday ruled out any election alliance with other political parties in future.
The resignation of parliamentarians of PTI would be decided in a core committee meeting after consulting all the party parliamentarians.
She was addressing a press conference at the election office of Raja Tariq Afzal Kallas, candidate of PTI in the PP-20 by-election to be held on 9th January. Raja Yasir Sarfraz, Fozia Behram, Ch. Taimoor Ali Khan Advocate, Raja Athar Janjua, Qazi Mohsin Kahoot and others were present on the occasion.
Dr Yasmeen Rashid criticised the Punjab government for interfering in the election affairs of PP-20.
She complained that development schemes were still ongoing and the code of conduct issued by Election Commission of Pakistan was being bulldozed by the PML (N)’s leadership.
Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said that Imran Khan would address a big public meeting at village Kalojo Mureed on 5th January and expressed confidence that the people of Chakwal would stand with the “Change”.
She also criticised the role of election commission of Pakistan and feared that delimitation would be made on political ground. Dr. Rashid was of the view that the PML (N) rulers have completed their term and the present government has lost its mandate when Supreme Court declared Nawaz Sharif corrupt. She said that early elections will be only solution for strengthening democracy in the country.
Meanwhile, a 50 years old labourer identified as Maqbool Hussain, son of Abdul Haque, was found dead near the graveyard of Peer Bukhari on Thursday morning. The residents of the area informed the Police and SHO City Police Syed Azhar Shah rushed to the spot. Homicide Circle Chakwal conducted an autopsy of the dead body from DHQ Chakwal registered a murder case against unknown person and started investigation.
