Violence, road accidents claim six lives

KASUR - Six persons including two women and a minor girl were killed in different incidents of violence and road accidents here the other day.
According to police, a woman was killed while 15 others including seven women were injured in a pile-up involving seven vehicles on Multan Road near Jumber. The deceased woman could not be identified. The injured included Yaseen, Nadeem, Ali Ahmed, Imtiaz, Usman, Mudassar, Javed, Rabia, Iqra, Sharifan, Shumaila, Maryam, Zainab and Aneela Bibi. Rescue 1122 reached the spot and provided first aid to the injured. Those who had sustained critical injuries were shifted to Pattoki Hospital. Phoolnagar Saddr police are investigating.
In another incident, a woman, Syedan Bibi, wife of Abdul Ghani and resident of Pakki Haveli, was crushed to death by a speeding car while crossing Ferozepur Road near Wadana. Mustafabad police registered a case against the car driver.
In Pattoki, a four-year-old girl, Maryam, was killed after the rickshaw she was travelling on was hit by a tractor-trolley from the rear near Waan Awan railway crossing. Two persons including Nadeem and Bashir were injured in the incident. Similarly, a man, Qasim, was on the way to Renala Khurd from Habibabad on a motorbike. Near Judiya Bridge, a tractor-trolley hit the motorbike from the rear, killing Qasim on the spot.
On the other hand, an unidentified man was found dead at RSS area in the Phoolnagar City police precincts. According to police, the deceased was a drug-addict and he died because he could not find drugs. In Changa Manga, the dead body of a man was found floating in Rajbah Canal at Chak 15. Identity of the bodies could not be ascertained.
