LAHORE - The CM Punjab International Open Squash Championship reached the quarterfinals stage here at Punjab Squash Complex on Tuesday. In the first match of the day, Tayyab thrashed Ashab Irfan 3-1 while Waqas Mehboob defeated M Farhan by 3-0, Salman Saleem defeated Zahir Shah by 3-2, Mehran Javed defeated M Abdul Qadir by 3-1, Israr Ahmed emerged as victorious, Noor Zaman defeated M Farhan Hashmi by 3-1, Waqas Mehboob defeated Hamza Sharif by 3-0 and in the eighth and final match of the day, Asim Khan won by 3-0 against Saeed Abdul. All the winners qualified for the quarterfinals, which will be played today (Wednesday).
