Three handed down death over killing couple

KASUR

A local court sentenced three brothers to death and fined them Rs300,000 each over killing their sister and her husband on suspicion of conversion to Islam .
The incident had occurred in Bholaki area of district Kasur.
District and Sessions Judge Rai Muhammad Nawaz pronounced the verdict the other day.
According to prosecution, the convicts - Ashraf Massih, Naveed Massih and Dildar Massih, all three brothers, had killed their pregnant sister and her husband Irfan in 2012.
The accused committed the crime over a suspicion that the couple had converted to Islam. According to the police investigator, the couple had lived in Baloki after marriage and the accused had threatened them to leave the village many times. However, they ignored the threats constantly at which the accused axed them to death.
