Pakistan's perception as a stable economy

LAHORE - The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to help improve Pakistan's perception as a stable economy by working out a strategy to market it as an investment friendly country. This was stated by LCCI President Mian Muzaffar Ali while addressing a group of probationary officers of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan here on Wednesday. LCCI Senior Vice President Tahir Javaid Malik, former President Mian Misbahur Rehman and former Vice President Aftab Ahmad Vohra also spoke on the occasion. The LCCI President said that when the world would see Pakistan as a nation tackling all the issues in a winsome manner the situation would take a positive turn but for this desired change, we all would have to play our role collectively. Mian Muzaffar Ali said that Pakistan was suffering only because of non-implementation of policies and weak institutional framework. Had a little attention been given towards the strengthening of institutions, the situation would have been quite satisfactory. The LCCI President, in a passionate tone, urged the TDAP officers to play their role for the well-being of the country by using their best abilities. " Future of Pakistan lies with you, put your wholehearted efforts to change the destiny of this nation who has all the potentials to excel." Mian Muzaffar Ali said that Pakistani merchandise were fast losing their due place in the global market and that was only due to half hearted working. Speaking on the occasion, the LCCI Senior Vice President Tahir Javaid Malik said that TDAP should concentrate on giving boost to the exports by arranging single country exhibitions in different countries and through exchange of trade delegations.
