Kundi all praise for Capital police

ISLAMABAD Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Faisal Karim Kundi, Thursday, admired the role of security forces as well as Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) in the present scenario of terrorism for equal application of law and provision of better traffic system in the Capital. He said this as Chief Guest at a ceremony arranged by ITP in connection with its 4th anniversary celebrations held at the National Library. Kundi said that police and other forces enthusiastically fought against terrorism and succeeded in providing safety to the public to some extent. He said that Islamabad Traffic Police set an example of corruption free institution, provided systematic Traffic System and implemented equal application of law due to which its performance remain better than that of NH & MP. I will endorsed every step for providing more resources to Islamabad Police and will play my due role to make successful of this organization, he maintained. On the occasion, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Shahid Mehmood and IGP (R) Iftikhar Rasheed also addressed. They said that ITP was a role model for other government organizations. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam said that ITP not only maintained the traffic system in the capital but also provided the best services to the road users and citizens. He hoped that in future its performance would be enhanced. Dr Moeen Masood SSP Traffic Islamabad while addressing stated that his predecessors Dr Sultan Azam Temuri and Muhammad Zubair Hashmi did a lot of work in strengthening the ITP and made it able to provide better facilities to the road users through traffic education and enforcement but still there was a dire need of resources like office building and other equipments. He assured that ITP would continue its struggle to uphold its vision and mission to provide better traffic system in the capital to the citizens. Trophies were awarded to the wining students of musical competition. Sameen, Iqra, Vaneeza, Maria Kanwal, Mohsin Raza, Alashfa, Hassan Abbas, Jehangir Ali, Zenab Fatima and Umar Farooq were the winners. IGP Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam presented souvenirs to Fasial Karim Kundi Dy. Speaker National Assembly and Shahid Mehmood, Chief Commissioner, ICT, Islamabad. A singing competition among students was also arranged by ITP in connection with its 4th anniversary celebrations Chief Commissioner, ICT Administration Shahid Mehmood, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Kaleem Imam, Former IGP Iftikhar Rasheed, DIG Security Rao Sardar Ali, DIG NH & MP Dr Muhammad Sahfique, SSP Islamabad Mr. Tahir Alam, SSP HQ Mr. Muhammad Zuabair Hashmi, AIG Operations Ms Helena Iqbal Saeed, SSP Traffic Dr. Moeen Masood, SP Trafic Ashfaq Ahmad Khan and DSP Traffic Ms Khadija Tasneem were present on the occasion. Apart from the prominent participants the members of ITP Liaison Committee, students of ICG F-6/2, Special children of Al-Makhtoom, Al-Farabi and other schools were also present. The children sang national songs and got admiration from the audience. A Cake was cut to celebrate the fourth anniversary of ITP.
