Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan itself will take a decision in regards to expanding the military operation to the North Waziristan Agency in accordance with its timeframe. The international community at the London summit on Afghanistan has accepted Pakistans point of view that Af-Pak policy could no longer be applied to Pakistan as both the countries have their own distinct outlooks, addressing a news conference here he said. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi who represented his country at the event, said the conference has addressed all of Pakistans concerns and Pakistans objective was that this moot remains focussed on Afghanistan. He said that the other issue that came clearly was that the international community has finally accepted Pakistans point of view that Afghanistan and Pakistan are two distinct countries and they cannot be clubbed together. He said the conference also rejected new regional structure as advocated by certain elements. Pakistan, he added, was of the opinion that the existing mechanisms that are in place are adequate and working well and there is no need for new regional architecture.
