QUETTATwo persons were killed while 18 others including children were injured in a bomb blast in Tehsil Sohbatpur of Jaffarabad district on Thursday. According to official sources, unidentified people had attached an explosive device to a bicycle parked at main crowded Bazaar of Sohbatpur town near a restaurant. The device exploded and injured around 18 people including children. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where two persons Irshad and Sawali Khan succumbed to their injuries. 'It was a remote-controlled blast that took place in a market near bus stand at the highway,the official sources said, adding, that the explosive device was planted on a bicycle, however, the real target of attack is yet to be ascertained. The blast also caused damages to nearby vehicles and a roof of nearby restaurant also collapsed due to the massive blast. Police rushed to the site after the blast and shifted the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital with the help of volunteers. Hospital sources said that condition of some injured was serious while some have been referred to Jacobabad for further treatment. The reports suggest that the blast occurred when a vehicle of Bugti tribe hailing from supporters of Nawab Mir Aali Bugti was passing through the area. However, no group claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Thursdays blast came two days after blast in Dera Allah Yar town at bus stand of same district in which six people were injured including DPO of the district. The Baloch Liberation Army (BRA) had accepted the responsibility of attack. Police has registered a case and started investigations into the blast.
