LAHORE – Gunmen shot dead a father of three, in broad daylight here in Shahdara area and fled away, police said on Saturday. Police investigators believe that the motive behind the killing was old enmity.
Resident of Qalandar Colony, Dilawar Malik, 30, was on his way to supply milk to some shops in the area when unidentified gunmen riding on a car intercepted him. They sprayed the milkman with bullet and fled away.
The injured was rushed to a local hospital, where he died later. The police claimed that the deceased had old enmity with a group in his native town. The police have removed the body to the morgue for an autopsy and are investigating with no arrest made so far.
In another incident, a 24-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances from Shafiqabad area. Police said that the man, yet to be identified so far, was lying dead alongside a road as they rushed to the spot. 
CRUSHED: A 70-year-old man was crushed to death when a rashly driven car ran over him here in Shafiqabad police area, police said on Saturday.  Mahdi Khan, a resident of Mardan, was crossing the main road when a recklessly driven car hit him. He died on the spot.
