A spokesperson of American embassy has clarified the statement of US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta stating US has not found any evidence of Pakistan’s support to Osama bin Laden’s presence in Abbottabad. The spokesperson has said the Defence Secretary and other officials are trying to ameliorate relations with pakistan. On Saturday, Panetta said, in an interview to Colombia Broadcasting Service (CBS), that he believed Pakistani officials knew where bin Laden was hiding before US Navy Seals found and killed him on May 2, last year.
