Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran along with JUI-S took out a protest rally to condemn the unholy act of publishing blasphemous caricatures by a French magazine which hurt the sentiments of the Muslims.

The protest rally was started from Chowk Jamia Masjid Al-Sadiq under the leadership of PML-N MPA Adnan Farid, JUI(S) provincial leader Mufti Muhammad Ahmed Mehmoodi and Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran President Mahammad Younas.

The protestors marched through man streets and bazaars culminated at Chowk Munir Shaheed where they raised full-throat slogans against the French media and the anti-Islam forces for hurting the feelings of Muslim Ummah.

Addressing the rally the MPA Qazi said that the publication of sacrilegious caricatures could cause greater harm to the inter-faith harmony in believe of different faiths over the world.

He said that Muslim rulers should ask the French government and other members of the European Union to place a ban on any act of blasphemy. He said that the Organization of Islamic Conference should chalk out a plan to such acts.

JUI(S) Punjab leader Mufti Ahmed Mehmoodi, Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran President Mian Mohammad Younas, general secretary Mehar Abdul Rehman and other trader leaders included Haji Muhammad Arshad Rajput, Jamal Abdul Nasar, Mohammad Aslam Baba, Abdul Rehman Shakar and Mohammad Aslam Rajput spoke on the occasion.
