LAHORE - Ferozpur Road Industrial Area Welfare Organisation has announced to bear treatment expenses of five patients admitted at Dialysis Centre of Lahore General Hospital.
A delegation of the organization, headed by its president Adeeb Iqbal Sheikh, visited LGH and offered donation for purchasing latest medical equipment.
The administrative doctors and representatives of Patients Welfare Association were also present on the occasion.
Meeting on immunisation: Senior Country Manager of Global Alliance for Vaccine and Immunisation (GAVI) Anne Zeindl Cronin called on Adviser to Chief Minister on Health Kh Salman Rafiq at Civil Secretariat on Wednesday.
Health DG Dr Zahid Pervaiz, EPI Director Dr Munir Ahmad and other officers were also present on the occasion. The meeting was told that a high level delegation of GAVI from Geneva would visit Lahore on February 17 to review steps taken for immunisation of children.
The delegation will meet the provincial leadership to discuss the scope of increasing cooperation.
Kh Salman Rafiq briefed Anne Zeindl Cronin about ongoing anti-measles campaign and discussed in detail the steps taken for enhancing the routine immunization coverage above 90 percent. He said that the development of health sector and reforms for ensuring provision of better health facilities to the people was priority of the Punjab government. He also thanked the Senior Country Manager GAVI for invaluable cooperation and provision of vaccine for the immunization of children.
He further expressed the hope that Punjab government would successfully implement the programme of prevention of diseases with the cooperation of international partner.
