ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif today that Pakistan’s image abroad had improved, due to the consolidated efforts of the government’s team.

He was chaired a high level meeting here to discuss overall security and economic situation of the country.

The Prime Minister took the meeting into confidence on his latest visits to Saudi Arabia, Iran and Davos (Switzerland) saying the business leaders and communities from the world over viewed Pakistan quite positively, for which the economic team of the government deserved recognition and appreciation.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the country was on the right track to achieve stability and economic progress, and provide a conducive environment to all sectors to perform up to their true potential.

Eliminating the menace of terrorism and ensuring a peaceful Pakistan for future generations was the top most priority of the government as successes against terrorism and achieving economic stability had created a new hope in the people, he added.

Nawaz Sharif was briefed in detail on the terror attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsadda and the investigations made so far, in this regard. He reaffirmed his government’s categorical resolve to continue the war on terror until the last terrorist was eliminated from soil of the country.

“Wiping out terrorism from the motherland is the collective resolve of the state of Pakistan, its government and people of the land,” he vowed. “Perpetrators and facilitators of the heinous act of killing our innocent children in the place of their studies will be brought to justice.”

He said that the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb had broken the backbone of terrorists, who had resorted to targeting soft targets out of sheer frustration, “but we will not let their evil agenda to succeed.”

The Karachi operation also came under discussion during the meeting and it was agreed that since the operation had yielded positive results it would continue till its logical conclusion.

Matchless sacrifices and coordinated efforts of the law enforcement Agencies in regard to operation Zarb-e-Azb and Karachi operation were appreciated.
