LAHORE - The mother of The Nation Deputy Chief Reporter Mubashir Hassan passed away yesterday after protracted illness. She was 75. The deceased was laid to rest at Askari graveyard in the evening.

The funeral of the deceased was held at B-Block Masjid of Askari 10 after Isha prayers. A large number of people from media, politics, and bureaucracy and others attended the funeral.

Among them also included The Nation Editor Salim Bokhari, Editor News Nawa-i-Waqt Dilawar Ch, Chief Reporter Nawa-i-Waqt Khwaja Furrukh Saeed, and PPP leader Barrister Amir Hassan. Nawa-i-Waqt group staffers have expressed heart-felt sorrow over the demise and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this loss.

Punjab Governor Rafique Rajwana and Punjab government spokesman Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri have also expressed sense of grief over the death of mother of Mubashir Hassan.
