LAHORE - At least three people including a woman committed suicide in various localities over different issues in the City on Wednesday. Police said, a 20-year-old youth Amir Iqbal, resident of Nankana Sahib, who used to work in a local hotel near Jia Mosa Stop, wanted to have love marriage. He tried to convince his parents but on their repeated refusals, the deceased committed suicide by taking poisonous pills. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he breathed his last. Police however handed over the body to the deceaseds heirs after necessary medico-legal formalities. In another incident, an 18-year-old youth Nadeem, a factory worker and resident of Lalyani, took venomous pills in Mustafaabad police limits. His parents admonished him over some domestic issues, on which, the deceased committed suicide, an on duty police officer said. The family rushed him to a hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. In third incident, a woman also closed the chapter of her life after having quarrel with her husband over a domestic issue in Manga Mandi on Wednesday. Police maintained woman Salma Bibi, resident of Charagh Town, was married to one Imran but the couple used to quarrel each other. She returned her maternal home after developing differences with her husband many times, police sources said. They further said that both the families however made compromise between the couple but on the day of incident, she took this extreme step over the aforementioned issues. She became unconscious and the family rushed her to a local hospital where she breathed her last. Police however handed over her body to the heirs after her post mortem. Three including minor killed At least three people including a minor child was crushed to death in different road accidents in provincial capital on Wednesday. As per details, a speedy bus crushed a 60-year-old man in Hanjerwal police area in the wee hours on Wednesday. Sheikh Gulzar, resident of Pattoki, suffered severe injuries when a speeding bus hit him near Thokar Niaz Baig. The locals rushed him to a nearby hospital but he expired. The police handed over the dead body after necessary legal steps. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old youth, only brother of five sisters, was crushed by a speedy car in Ichhra police limits. Police investigators said that Zeeshan, resident of Pakistani Chowk, was on his way to home after offering prayer in a nearby mosque when an uncontrolled car hit him as a result he sustained multiple wounds. The locals took him to a hospital but he died. While the driver of the car fled from the scene. In another incident, a 10-year-old unidentified minor child was crushed to death by a speedy car near Attari Darbar in Nishtar Colony. An Edhi ambulance shifted the body to the City morgue for autopsy.
