ISLAMABAD (APP) - Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources on Wednesday signed exploration license with Oil and Gas Investments Limited (OGIL) for a block in district Dadu, Sindh. The Block No. 2667-12 (Baran) is mainly located in district Dadu, Sindh and partially in Lasbela and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan. The area of the block is 2475.26 Sq. Kms and minimum financial work commitment in US $ 5.2 million. The signing ceremony was signed by Kamran Lashari, Secretary Petroleum and Natural Resources, M Naeem Malik, Director General Petroleum Concessions and Aurangzeb Ali Naqvi, Chief Executive Officer, OGIL. Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources was also present. The minister said the government was taking all possible steps to increase the domestic oil and gas production and liberal incentives were being advanced to the exploration and production companies to achieve the objective. The secretary said the ministry had already signed 31 exploration license petroleum concession agreements during the last seven months. The OGIL is a local petroleum exploration and production company. OGIL is also the working interest owner in two exploration blocks namely Jhangara and Safed Koh.\\
