LAHORE PFF President Faisal Saleh Hayat, who is also chairman of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Disciplinary Committee, has urged the football playing nations to observe fair play. We need to cherish and nurture the values of sporting spirit and work tirelessly to keep up the momentum. Myself, on behalf of all members, have appealed to players, referees, fans and officials throughout Asia to help praise and promote the spirit of fair play, said Faisal during the welcome address at AFC House, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He said that Asian football family is happy with AFC President Mohamed Bin Hammam and strongly believes that Asian football, under Hammam directives, will be at par with world powers in 10-15 years time and there will be strong global interest in Asian football. Any investor can invest in any team they want, if they think they can generate something and benefit from it. But I am confident that Asian teams will have the same attraction for foreign investors too in the future. he said. Faisal also congratulated Hammam for forming a partnership with QuestNet till 2012.
