LAHORE - The water dispute between the provinces is the outcome of Indias water aggression against but Pakistans Foreign Minister and the Indus Water Commission Chairman were pleading New Delhis case instead of drawing the world attention to the real issue. Addressing a Kissan Convention organized by the Kissan Board Pakistan here on Wednesday, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hasan said that India had built 62 dams over Pakistani rivers in violation of the international pacts but no one was protesting over that. Talking to the newsmen after the convention, Munawar Hasan said the Pak-Afghan transit trade pact had been signed under direct US pressure and Hillary Clinton reached here ahead of her schedule for this purpose. Pakistan had accepted all the conditions under US pressure and the pact was signed without approval of the cabinet and the parliament. The business community was upset over this pact, which was also against national solidarity, he added. However, there was no pressure on India to discuss real issues like Kashmir and water aggression. To a question, he said, target killing had been going on in Baluchistan in the past but now it had also spilled over to Karachi. He said both the ruling parties in the Sindh were blaming each other and both were correct. In fact, the land mafia and the Qabza group were active in Karachi. The MQM had occupied flats and lands in different areas and set up its offices there. To a question about Sargo-dha bye-election results, Syed Munawar Hasan said this was just a trailer and the real film would be seen during the general elections. In fact, he said, this was the public reaction against the PML (N) for supporting every wrong policy of the PPP. About MMA, he said, Maulana Fazlur Rehmans assurance to President Zardari through an emissary that the religious parties alliance wont be revived, had showed his real face.
