KARACHI - Two men were gunned down in separate incidents of violence here on Wednesday. Aziz Bhatti police found a bullet-riddled body of a bank officer from Hakeem Saeed playground near Baitul Mukarram Mosque on Wednesday. According to police officials, the deceased Aurangzaib Alamgir, 30, son of Mohiuddin, was the resident of Allah Noor Apartment, Block-7 Gulshan Iqbal. SHO Safdar Mashwani said after kidnapping the culprits they fired a bullet in his fore head, and threw his body in the playground. He added the deceased was the officer of a local bank, and got married two days back with his cousin. He was kidnapped after parking the car on Tuesday, when he along with his family members went for shopping at Naheed Superstore located in Bahadurabad. The family reported about his missing from the area in Bahadurabad police station. On Wednesday morning, his body was found and shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities and later handed over to the family. Bahadurabad police station SHO Sub Inspector (SI) Mohsin Haider said the victim tied knot two or three days back. Police believed that personal enmity might be the reason behind the killing because after kidnapping culprits had no contact with the victim heirs and they did not demanded any ransom. However, no case was reported till the filing of this story. In another incident, a middle-aged man was gunned down in Jhanjar Goth Super Highway in the limits of Sohrab Goth police station. DSP Irfan Bahadur said the 45-year-old Bakht Munir Khan was standing near Super Highway Jhanjar Goth when two motorcyclists came and open indiscriminate firing. Bakht Munir died on the spot, after acting the crime culprits tried to fled but a police mobile which was present near the incident place, rushed to the spot. After the encounter, police arrested one culprit namely Abdul Rehman and recovered one TT pistol and a motorcycle. However, his compliance managed to flee from the scene. Bahadur further said that the victim was the resident of Jahanjar Goth and used to work at a bus stand Sohrab Goth. During initial investigation culprit said he had a personal enmity with Bakht Munir. Police trying to arrest his accomplice. No case was registered till the filing of the report.
