16 proclaimed offenders arrested, claim CIA police


LAHORE - CIA police claimed to have arrested at least 16 proclaimed offenders involved in kidnapping for ransom and other crimes.
Those arrested included Ghaniur Rehman of Mardan, Mohammad Kamran of Azad Kashmir, Ahmad Farooq of Sharaqpur, Najma Bibi, Pervez alias Hero of Hafizabad, Zeeshan alias Shani of Gujrat, Muzaffar alias Zafar of Pandoki, Ramzan alias Jana of Sargodha and Naeem Baig alias Neema of Manga. All of them are involved in kidnapping for ransom cases registered in Tibbi City, Jauhar Town, Hunjarwal, Ichhara, Nishter Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Shalimar police stations.
The police team also arrested Mohammad Rafique, Abdul Rashid, Rana Naveed, Abid alias Aabu, Mohammad Afzal, Samiullah and Suleman in connection with terrorism cases registered against them in Lower Mall, Shafiqabad, Shahdara, Misri Shah, Kot Lakhpat, Gulberg and Muslim Town police stations, said a police spokesman.
Lahore Investigation Wing submitted in the courts concerned 29 challans of various cases of terrorism registered in Lower Mall, Islampura, Shafiqabad, Chung, Jauhar Town, Hunjarwal, Batapur, Kot Lakhpat, Nishter Colony and Muslim Town police stations from May 2006 to May 2013.
