HAFIZABAD-After a few days respite, the electricity has again start playing hide and seek with the citizens for the past 48 hours. The unscheduled loadshedding has surpassed all previous records and due to humid weather several people were fainted at different places. A fasting woman on Kassoke Road fell down on the ground due to sultry weather. The plight of patients, children and elderly can well be imagined during this aggressive weather. Besides, the daily wagers working in small industries have been rendered jobless.

According to villagers of Chattha Dad, Kalianwala, Sagar and seven other nearby villages, more than 10 electric poles were fallen due to rain and windstorm about three days ago as a result of which people of these villages have been deprived of electricity.  The citizens have protested against unscheduled and prolonged loadshedding and have called upon the GEPCO and government to take pity on them particularly during this humid weather and holy month of Ramazan.

Meanwhile, some unidentified thieves lifted away two transformers of 32-KV from near the dera of Zafar Ullah Joyia Kolo Tarar.

According to villagers, some thieves dismantled the heavy transformers last night and whisked away in a tractor. The police are investigating.

GIRL’S KIDNAPPING: The Kassoke police have registered a case against Fayyaz Ahmad, Razia and Samina on the charge of allegedly abducting 17-year-old girl from Bhoon Kalan village. According to FIR, Fayyaz Ahmad, Razia and Samina visited the house of Mushtaq Ahmad, a close relative, in Bhoon Kalan village and enticed away his 17-year-old daughter Saba Mushtaq and sped away in a car.

Meanwhile, The Kaseesay Police have arrested a notorious proclaimed offender Munawar of village Dhana (Tavelaywali) who was wanted by the police in connection with several cases of murders, dacoity, robbery, thefts and extortion cases. He was also wanted in connection with sending threats to Zulfiqar leader of Sunni Tehreek Sukheke to face dire consequences if he failed to pay ransom amount.
