One out of every nine women in Pakistan is at a risk of breast cancer. It is estimated that Pakistan has one of the highest rates of breast cancer in the world. Due to this, every year we witness many deaths. The problem lies in awareness, as most females are unaware or illiterate and have no idea how important it is to get a checkup regularly. It is important to spread knowledge about breast cancer in Pakistan as we have excellent doctors to cure the disease, but initial awareness is imperative. Women should act responsibly and even young girls should motivate their mothers and other women to get themselves checked. It can be cured if it is diagnosed at an earlier stage. We must help in spreading awareness and protecting our females from breast cancer. It’s never too late to start seminars and campaigns all over the country including universities and colleges so that maximum amount of knowledge is spread.
