Building material of a low quality is being used for the construction of the Sahiwal Railway Station. Though the construction is in its initial phase, the railway department’s persisting negligence may create problems in the future.

A budget of 24 billion rupees is allocated for the construction of the railway station. It doesn’t seem as if the construction of this station can meet its 18 month target and the rubble of the old demolished station has not been removed from the site. The higher authorities of the Pakistan Railways should take notice of this situation.
