Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that the PTI's victory in the Sialkot by-elections is the victory of the new Pakistan and has proved that the people stand with the government's stance and have rejected the opposition. He said, despite Corona, Pakistan is heading towards economic prosperity.
Talking to the different delegations of PTI at Governor House Lahore on Thursday, he said that only the politics of transparency and honesty will prevail in Pakistan. He said that despite Covid-19, Pakistan has moved towards economic prosperity and IMF has also acknowledged the steps taken by the government for bolstering the business community, adding that the government is making progress in the economic field due to its prudent and successful economic policies. He said that the government is committed to ensuring the security and sovereignty of the country.
Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar further said that the defeat of the opposition in elections of Sialkot after Azad Kashmir is proof that the people are with PTI instead of opposition and this success owes to the hard work of PTI workers and the political acumen of the general public.
He said that people repose trust in Prime Minister Imran Khan as he is an honest leader, adding that he is working with sincerity to steer the country out of crisis and problems and time is not far when Pakistan will be completely free from all problems. He said that PTI has become the largest political party of Pakistan and the Prime Minister Imran Khan is a staunch leader who will never bow down to the opposition's pressure.
Expressing concern over the surge in the cases of Corona, Governor Punjab stated that every Pakistani must follow SOPs till the complete elimination of COVID-19, adding that those who do not follow Corona Sops are not only risking their own lives but the lives of others. He warned if Corona cases escalate further, it will be catastrophic for the nation, so everyone should get vaccinated and follow SOPs to overcome Corona.
