ISLAMABAD (APP): The President has appointed six new members of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) with immediate effect. According to a notification issued here Tuesday, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 6 of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Ordinance, 2002 as amended by PEMRA (Amendment Act 2007) the President has appointed Gohar Ejaz (federal capital), Mian Shams (Punjab), Zeba Shahzad Husain (Sindh), Shama Perveen Magsi (Balochistan),Farreha Iftikhar (Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa) and Israr Ahmed Abbasi (AJ&K, Gilgit Baltistan) as members of PEMRA.
