LAHORE (PR) - Sports Promotion Society (SPS) has organised a walk and sports festival programme for the awareness of World Antinarcotics Drug Day with the collaboration of Ministry of Health, Punjab Antinarcotics Drug Department, Punjab Aids consortium, Human Antinarcotics Drug society, Pakistan Lions Youth Council. SPS is conducting this event for spreading the awareness of healthy environment and raise awareness of the major problems which are caused by illicit drugs in our society. Sports Promotion Society and DPE of KIP under the supervision of Prof Faisal Fayyaz (international gymnast & PM of PUCIT) organised the event. Dr Qaiser Javed, the representative of Ministry of Health, said: The day is being observed each year to raise awareness of the major problems which are caused by illicit drugs in our society. There are several clinics and treatment centres for drug addicts run by individual doctors or NGOs but Government is taking serious steps to stop illegal drug supplies and transportation from other countries to secure the youth of Pakistan from worst problem.
