OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The Pakistan Football Federation has increased the prize money of Pakistan Premier League to give incentive to participating teams to make the event thrilling and interesting. PFF chief took the decision in a special meeting held on Tuesday in the larger interest of the game. The prize money of the league has been enhanced from Rs 600,000 to Rs 700,000 for the winning team, runner-up from 400,000 to 500,000, third position holder from 300,000 to 400,000, best player of the league from 100,000 to 150,000, highest scorer of the league 50,000 to 100,000, best goalkeeper from 50,000 to 100,000, best match commissioner from 50,000 to 100,000, best referee from 50,000 to 100,000, and best assistant referee from 25,000 to 50,000. Match bonus amount for each match has also been increased from Rs 25,000 to 30,000.
