LAHORE - LSE has scheduled to hold Pakistan Capital Markets Conference in collaboration with KSE and ISE on Wednesday. Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal will be the chief guest at the conference.

The conference is being organized to help prepare a roadmap for the market based development agenda in support of the economic growth objectives of the newly established government. The idea behind the conference is that since the new Government is inclined to spur a culture of widespread investments and to introduce broad-based economic growth policies in the country, therefore the domestic capital market industry also needs to prepare its vision to supplement the emerging economic priorities of the new government.

The program of the conference has been drafted in such a manner that the conference would receive inputs from the economists, market regulators and academicians etc, and would recommend practicable policy level interventions for the government so that the market can play its due role in the social and economic development of the country.

The conference would specifically focus on some of the key industry sectors/economic areas in which our markets can be useful for infusing growth.
