ISLAMABAD - The Islamabad police on Friday arrested a man who clubbed to death his daughter and tried to put the allegation of this murder against some unidentified persons to mislead the police.The man who was identified as Ahmed Yar confessed the crime, however, did not reveal why he committed the murder. According to Superintendent Police (Saddar) Jameel Ahmed Hashmi Ahmed Yar lodged the report with Margalla police station regarding missing of his daughter on June 5, 2013. He further stated in the report that his daughter had left the house situated in sector E-9 at 10 pm and did not return. He tried to search his daughter but could not trace her, however, later he found her dead body around 4:30 pm lying in a pool of blood in front his house.The police registered a case (FIR 313) against unidentified persons. SP Jameel told media men on Friday that he constituted special team under his own supervision to trace the culprits. The police team included Sub-Inspector Asajd Mehmud and others investigated into the matter and apprehended his father after finding strong evidences against him. "During course of investigation, we got to know he himself murdered his daughter, dumped his body in front of other residential blocks and reported to police station after that. After establishing concrete proof, we finally apprehended him," said Jamil Hashmi. The son of accused Ahmed Yar had also given a statement before Assistant Commissioner Industrial Area that his father had stabbed to death his sister and asked family members not to disclose it otherwise he would also kill them.The wife of accused has also lodged an application with police station and alleged her husband as killer of her daughter. Police have obtained physical remand of the accused and further investigation is also underway.
