ISLAMABAD- Fizza Tariq Malik, youngest woman victim of the terrorist attack on Islamabad district courts, was a lawyer with a vision to serve Pakistan and her fellow countrymen. Fizza Tariq Malik, sister of two brothers, graduated from Islamabad School of Law under University of Northumbria at Newcastle's external program.
The first consultative meeting of Fizza Trust was attended by Shaheed Fizza Malik's parents, illustrious journalists, academicians, lawyers, members of various civil society organizations and Islamabad Chamber of Commerce.
Rich tributes were paid to the vision and dreams of Fizza Malik. According to Fizza Malik's father, Mr. Tariq Malik, the sacrifice laid down by his daughter would not go to waste. This trust has been established with a mission to carry on her wish to make a difference in the judicial system of Pakistan. She aspired to make it gender friendly and bring justice to the needy. He demanded that the report on reserved judgment of Supreme Court of Pakistan related to the 3rd March incident should be released at earliest. According to Mr. Murtaza Noor, the trust would finance and offer need based scholarships to young girls who want to attain education of law. The first priority would be given to applications coming from rural regions of Pakistan. Mr. Muhammad Asif, Convener of the Trust said the website of Fizza Trust has already been launched.
