LAHORE - Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar rued that in this modern time, over 50 per cent population in Pakistan was without facility of clean water.

He was speaking after inaugurating the website for the clean water project at the Governor’s House on Saturday

Sarwar made an appeal to philanthropists to join hands with government towards providing the masses with the facilities of education, health, and clean environment as well as end their problems.

The Governor informed the participants that at the initial stage the project of installing 100 water treatment plants kicked off with the help of the philanthropists. However, the scope of the project has been increased to installing 150 treatment plants in various districts of the province in view of the interest shown by the philanthropists to take part in this noble activity.

He also announced installing two water treatment plants at the site of IDPs.  About terrorism, the governor said that the nation stand united to win war on terror.
