Govt fighting energy crisis, terrorism alike: Minister

Punjab Ushr and Zakat Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran has said that the PML-N government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has been striving hard to steer the country out of problems and its sincere and strenuous efforts will bear fruit and Pakistan will emerge as a strong country.
He said that destiny of the poor people could be changed and all problems could be overcome by adopting the golden principle of honesty, commitment and hard work.
He was addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the PML-N Traders Wing office bearers here the other evening.
He said that former rulers through their loot and corruption brought the country and the economy to the verge of collapse and disaster while the nation was put into worst darkness. He said that the former government showed criminal negligence towards energy crisis and put the future of 180 million people of the country at stake due to its greed and lust for money.
He alleged that some forces were busy destabilising the country but they would be disappointed.
He said that traders were the backbone of economy and their traders problem would be resolved on war footings for the promotion businesses and eradication of unemployment. He said that traders were vanguard of the PML-N.
The Minister said that Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif was keen for the development of Sahiwal. He said that Qutab Shahana Bridge on River Ravi would be opened for traffic within next two months. He said that 1,320 Megawatt Coal Project would be helpful for progress of the area. He further said that establishment of universities at Sahiwal and Okara would be helpful for higher studies for the students of the division. Earlier, he administered oath of the newly elected office-bearers of PML-N Traders Wing.
SCCI DELEGATION: A six member delegation on Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry has left for Hungry on the invitation of Hungrian Investment and Trade Association.
SCCI President Ch Arshad Hussain is leading the delegation while other members include executive members Arshad Khan Bhutta, Zafar Sardar Ghumman, Mazhar Fareed Wattoo, Fiaz Ahmad and Sh Asif Iqbal. The delegation will also visit Hungry, Austria, France, Holland and Switzerland, Germany and Turkey.
During the visit, the SCCI delegation would have high-profile meetings with the officials concerned of these countries. They will exchange views with business communities and will sign different MoUs. Chairman Standing Committees Sohail Anjum and Kamran Saeed are also accompanying the delegation.
During the visit, the delegation will also settle affairs of business visas with officials concerned of these countries.
