ISLAMABAD : National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC) on Saturday said that power shortage in the country has reached to 3,800 megawatt. Electricity load shedding is not likely to be decreased in the country despite federal government’s claims for major development in power sector; as electricity shortfall reaches up 3,800 mw. According to NTDC, the power sector of the country is generating 13,900 megawatts electricity to the National Grid, whereas, total demand is 17,700 megawatts across the country. It should be mentioned here that urban areas of the country facing daily 12 hours load shedding while rural areas suffering 16 hours worst load shedding.
