HYDERABAD : The delegation of the traders and industrialists, led by the president Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) Goharullah, called on the State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali and Advisor to Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Mussadiq here the other day. According to HCCI spokesman, the delegation informed the State Minister about the huge coal reserves in Hyderabad and its vicinity and other rural parts of Sindh province and emphasized the need of encouragement to private sector from the government side to establish coal power plants in order to overcome the energy crisis.
The delegation lauded the role of the Chief Executive Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) for extending full cooperation to HCCI for improvement of the commercial sector adding that HESCO and HCCI are enjoying good relations in this respect.
The State Minister informed the delegation that the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is desired to personally meet the business community and address the issues of industrial and trade sectors on priority basis.
He assured that HCCI will be given representation in the HESCO Board of Directors so that such representation could address the issues of the business community.
Besides Chief Executive HESCO Muhammad Saleem Jat, the Vice President HCCI Nawab Ahmed Khanzada and members Governing Body Muhammad Shahid, Syed Yawar Ali Shah, Sikandar Ali Dhanduri, Muhammad Saleem Ghouri and Abdul Sattar Khan also present in the meeting.
