PESHAWAR : Two government-run primary schools were blown up in separate areas of restive tribal region on Saturday, increasing the number of bombed educational units to 127. According to a private television channel, some insurgents planted explosives at Government Girls Primary School in Dawazgai area of Mohmand Agency and later detonated them with a remote-controlled device.

A solar water pump, set up by a private company just two days ago to provide clean drinking water to locals, was also destroyed in the bombing.

Another primary school was targeted in Shabqadr Town of Charsadda. Terrorists placed explosives in the school at night and blew it up before dawn. Police said that the school was completely gutted after the explosion.
