ISLAMABAD – Ali Bukhari will take on Tayyab Aslam in the CAS National Junior Squash Championship U-19 final at the Hashim Khan Squash Complex, Peshawar today (Friday).

In the first U-19 semi-final, Ali Bukhari played well against Bilal Zakir and won the first game 11-5. After the first game, Bilal got injured and conceded the match. The second match was full of entertainment as both Tayyab Aslam and Ammad Fareed played very well and gave tough time to each other. The first game was won by Ammad 11-6. Tayyab then bounced back and won the second game 11-9. Ammad then showed his class to win the third game 11-9 but after that it was show of Tayyab who played superbly and won the next two games 11-7, 11-7 to win the match 6-11, 11-9, 9-11, 11-7, 11-7.

In the U-11 first semi-final, Haris Qasim beat Khizar Hayat 11-9, 11-6, 11-3 while Zeeshan Malik beat Farhan Hashmi 11-3, 8-11, 12-10, 7-11 12-10 in a thriller. The U-13 first semi-final saw Abbas Zeb outclassing Shahzad Ali Khan 11-9, 15-13, 11-5 and M Junaid defeating Hamid Habib 11-2, 9-11, 11-11 as Hamid retired from the match due to injury.

The U-15 first semi-final was won by Ali Karamat against Mansoor Zaman 11-5, 10-12, 11-11 as Mansoor conceded the match due to injury while in the second semi-final, Faizan Khan beat Zeeshan Javed 7-11, 11-4, 11-6, 10-12, 11-3 while the U-17 first semi-finals was won by Israr Ahmed against M Farhan 11-5, 11-9, 11-2 while the second semi-final was won by Ahsan Ayaz against Iqtidar Khan 8-11, 11-5, 11-5, 11-8.
