Ex-MNA Noor Alam richest with Rs32 billion assets

ISLAMABAD - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday issued the list of assets declared by the former members of National and Provincial Assemblies.
Former MNA Noor Alam Khan of the PPP was declared as the richest MNA with over Rs 32 billion worth of assets and Rs 10 million worth of gold.
PPP MNA Jamshed Dasti was declared as the poorest MNA, owning nothing other than his MNA salary.
PML-N MNA and former Leader of Opposition Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has a house in Faizabad, a farmhouse and nine residential flats in Rawalpindi, alongwith 700 canal properties worth Rs 40 million and bank balance of Rs 8.3 million.
Former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf owns over Rs 72 million worth of property and two cars of Rs 1.8 million.
He also revealed that his wife owns Rs 0.4 million worth of gold and has yet to receive Rs 8 million from his brother.
According to the list, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has a property worth of Rs 8.9 million and has invested over Rs 34.9 million. His bank account has over Rs 64.1 million.
Speaker of the National Assembly Speaker Fehmida Mirza has assets of over Rs 80 million and an apartment worth Rs 15 million in Dubai
Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi owns land worth Rs 0.8 million and has a bank account of Rs 0.4 million, but does not own a car.
The list also includes the name of ex-PM Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani's son, former MNA Ali Musa Gilani, who has over Rs 7.52 million worth of assets.
His elder brother Abdul Qadir Gilani has assets worth of over Rs 180 million and two cars, out of which one is an imported bulletproof car.
Qadir Gilani also possesses Rs 30 million worth of gold and a bank balance of Rs 2.2 million.
Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar is said to possess assets worth of over Rs 13.3 million and Rs 3 million worth of jewellery.
Ghulam Ahmed Bilour from the ANP has assets worth Rs 39.4 million, while Arbab Alamgir has a net worth of Rs 2 billion. Alamgir is also the owner of an apartment in Dubai worth Rs 40 million.
ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has assets worth Rs 10 million including 50 tolas of gold. JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has assets worth over Rs 5.5 million.
Ameer Muqam from the PML-N has assets worth Rs 160 million and 17 cars.
Aftab Sherpao has assets worth of Rs 30 million.
Party wise assets include that PPP-P: Rs 435,000 million, PML-N: Rs 80 million, MQM: Rs 19.7 million, PTI: Rs 9.46 million, ANP: Rs 27.2 million, AML: Rs 70,000, JI: Rs 1.85 million and PML-Q :Rs 50.14 million respectively.
