LAHORE – FIA Immigration Authorities at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP) offloaded 15 youngsters trying to travel to Malaysia on fake travel documents and sent them to Anti Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) for further action, an officer of FIA said on Thursday.

Sources said that cases were registered against passengers but no travel agent or human smuggler was arrested so far by FIA. He said that as per declaration of International Organisation for Migration (IOM), passengers cheated by any travel agent or human smuggler would be treated as victim. In contrast FIA officers target passengers rather than arresting human smugglers. Out of 15 passengers 13 belong to Southern Punjab while two from Gujrat. Those arrested include Muhammad Afaq Manzoor from Lodhran, Muhamamd Waqas Manzoor, Muhammad Ashfaq Manzoor, Abdur-Rehman, Muhammad Sher, Nasir Iqbal, Muhammad Shamraiz and Abid Hussain from Lodhran. Zameer Hussain and Muhammad Sameer from Khanewal, Farhan Zafar, Abdul Latif, Shahzeb Bilal from Vehari and Qasim Shabir and Ilyas Maseeh from Gujrat.  Visa stickers of all the passengers were fake, which were issued by their travel agents.
